Points of Agreement and Divergence between the Scholar Muhammad Kamil ibn Mustafa and Imam al-Baydawi in His Commentary Entitled Majmuʿat al-ʿAbd al-Dhalil ʿala Rubʿ Anwar al-Tanzil. "From Surah Ya-Sin to Surah As-Saffat".

Abstract

The research dealt with extracting fifteen reasoning (Ijtihad) of the scholar Muhammad Kamil bin Mustafa, in which he tracked Al-Baydawi's interpretation (Tafsir) from Surah "Ya-Sin" to "As-Saffat", highlighting his scientific honesty and his extreme accuracy in transmitting and clarifying the sayings of scholars. The study also revealed the Sheikh's strong critical personality and his encyclopedic knowledge in responding to major figures in various Islamic legal (Sharia) and linguistic sciences, and his unique ingenuity in merging opinions and presenting them smoothly. The research concluded with general and specific recommendations pointing to the importance of highlighting such bright scientific figures of Libya's venerable scholars, and the necessity of paying attention to them, their heritage, and working on reviving it and benefiting from it.
